Muscatine Hits the Bowling Lanes to Support Junior Achievement
JA Bowl-A-Thon is Saturday, January 30, 2016

Moline, IL - On Saturday, January 30, local community members and businesses will be putting on their bowling shoes to participate in the annual Junior Achievement Bowl-A-Thon.
Twenty-four teams of 5 adults will bowl to support Junior Achievement, raising an estimated $8,000 to help support JA programs in the area.  The event will be held at the Rose Bowl from 1:00 – 4:00 pm.

Junior Achievement teaches students the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and fiscal choices.  By partnering with area educators and the business community, JA helps prepare students for the 21st century workplace with programs that focus on financial literacy, work-readiness and entrepreneurship.  More than 3,800 kindergarten through high school students in Muscatine & Louisa Counties benefit from a JA experience each year.

We want to give a special thanks to our sponsors Necker’s Jewelers, HNI Corporation, Courtesy Car City, Voices of Muscatine, First National Bank of Muscatine, WHBF CBS4, KLJB, KWQC-TV6, OnMedia, and WQAD.
