There are many different ways you can become a part of Junior Achievement!
Do you enjoy working with children? Do you want an active role in developing the next generation of leaders for our community? If so, becoming a JA Classroom Volunteer or serving as a member of the JA World® Volunteer Corps might be the perfect choice for you.
Prefer to volunteer behind the scenes? We have those opportunities too! Each of our special events needs volunteers to help register participants, sell raffle tickets or chaperone a group of students. These are simple tasks that make a big difference in making sure our events run smoothly.

JA Classroom Volunteer
"You get more back from the students than you give." Our JA classroom volunteers tell us that volunteering is easy; you receive training from our professional staff and all the materials needed to be successful in the classroom. Visits typically last less than an hour, and involve five to seven visits. Classes are taught in the fall and spring. Once you have been trained, you are eligible to teach any grade level. The teacher remains in the classroom with you, and JA supports you every step of the way.
JA World Volunteer Corps
Roll up your sleeves and really help kids see what life is all about. At JA World in Davenport, Iowa students experience the “real world” first hand. Members of the volunteer corps are trained to serve as advisors to the parent volunteers, teachers and students. In the JA BizTown® program adult volunteers assist upper-elementary students in the operation of a mock city. The JA Finance Park® program helps middle-grade students as they plan a successful personal budget. Volunteer corps members can help at JA World as many days throughout the school year as they would like.
JA Bowl-A-Thon Coordinator or Participant
Are you good at motivating people? Does your workplace need a social outlet to develop relationships, teamwork and trust? Serve as a team coordinator or participant for your workplace in the JA Bowl-A-Thon. The majority of JA programs are offered to schools and students free of charge - your participation will help JA reach more students with our effective programs.
