JA Inspire, a career expo for 8th grade students, returns in-person this year bringing together business and education communities to create an immersive experience designed to launch students into their future.
Through this experience, students will…
- Connect with professionals from some of the region's most prominent employers.
- Explore career pathways and learn about the skills needed for in-demand jobs.
- Practice soft skills.
- Connect their own interests with a variety of career opportunities.
- Strengthen their coursework pathway for high school and beyond.

JA Inspire is both classroom and event-based, and consists of three segments: 1) in-class sessions presented by the classroom teacher; 2) the JA Inspire Career Expo visit; and 3) an in-class debrief. During the visit, students participate in engaging hands-on activities. The multi-hour experience is designed to align with local industry and career opportunities.
