Elementary school students are not old enough to drive, work, vote or be the boss. But that doesn’t stop them from operating banks, managing restaurants, writing checks and voting for mayor at JA BizTown! The program combines in-class learning with a day-long visit full of hands-on activities to help them connect the dots between what they learn in school and the real world.
The JA BizTown on-site simulation takes place at JA World®, a 10,000 square foot learning lab located in Davenport, Iowa. Educators may also select JA BizTown Adventures, a virtual option to complete the simulation in school versus JA World.

JA Finance Park

JA Finance Park Entry Level is JA’s capstone curriculum for personal financial planning and career exploration. This teacher-led classroom curriculum culminates with a visit to JA Finance Park, a realistic onsite facility or virtually in the classroom, where students engage with volunteers and put into practice what they’ve learned by developing a personal budget.
A new JA Finance Park Advanced curriculum and simulation gives high school students a more personal focus. Students select their career and define their future lifestyle and financial goals. The advanced simulation allows students to see the long-term impact of their education, savings, and credit decisions. This program culminates in an onsite or virtual simulation.
